I specialize in breeding healthy, well-socialized Highlander kittens and am a board section member registered with TICA, ACFA, and CFF. I am known for producing Highlanders with excellent temperaments, raised in a loving family environment. I provide genetic health guarantees and offer lifetime support to both buyers and breeders.
Enchanted Highlander cats are a truly unique breed, known for their distinctive curled ears, natural short tails, muscular build, and striking wild appearance. While their look turns heads, it is their friendly, people-oriented personality that truly sets them apart.
I focus on breeding healthy, well-socialized Highlander kittens raised in a loving family environment. Through early socialization and desensitization, my kittens develop excellent temperaments and adapt easily to life with their families. Enchanted Highlanders make wonderful companions for those seeking a rare, affectionate, and well-adjusted feline.
All of our adult breeding cats are cherished family members and receive consistent love, care, and individual attention. Their health and well-being are always our top priority.
Before entering our breeding program, all adults are fully tested for FeLV/FIV and genetically screened through Optimal Selection (OS)/ Wisdom Panel to help identify potential hereditary conditions. Our breeding cats come from reputable, well-documented lineages and are carefully selected to support strong health, temperament, and longevity.
This foundation allows us to responsibly produce healthy, well-adjusted kittens while prioritizing the welfare of every cat in our care.
At Enchanted Highlanders, we follow a structured health, socialization, and veterinary care program to ensure our Highlander kittens are healthy, well-adjusted, and fully ready for their new homes.
Health & Veterinary Care
⭐️ Routine Deworming
Kittens are dewormed every two weeks using Drontal, a standard breeder protocol.
⭐️ FVRCP Vaccinations
• First and second FVRCP kitten vaccines are administered by us, with the first dose typically starting at 9 weeks of age, as our kittens respond best at this stage.
• Vaccines used: Nobivac® Feline 1-HCP or Nobivac® Feline 1-HCPCh
• The third FVRCP booster and rabies vaccination are completed at our veterinary clinic. Rabies vaccines must be administered by a licensed veterinarian.
⭐️ Veterinary Health Exam
Each kitten receives a full veterinary examination between 16-18 weeks of age to ensure overall health prior to placement.
⭐️ Fecal Testing
A fecal test is performed on one to three kittens per litter during their veterinary exam before placement.
⭐️ FIV/FeLV Testing
Routine FIV/FeLV SNAP testing is not required for kittens; however, one kitten per litter may be tested if recommended by our veterinarian. All breeding adults and prior kittens from our cattery have tested negative. Buyers may request additional testing for personal peace of mind.
⭐️ Spay & Neuter
Spay or neuter is performed only if a kitten is at least 3 pounds and between 14–16 weeks of age. If a kitten does not meet these health and weight requirements, the procedure is delayed until it is safe to do so. Kittens do not leave until 16–18 weeks of age, ensuring they are developmentally and medically ready.
⭐️ Microchipping
Kittens are microchipped only if sedated during spay or neuter. Microchipping is not performed without sedation due to needle size.
⭐️ Parasite Prevention
All kittens receive or go home with Revolution Plus, providing protection against fleas, ticks (including Lone Star, Gulf Coast, American dog, and deer ticks), ear mites, roundworms, hookworms, and heartworm disease. Living in a rural environment with livestock, parasite prevention is taken seriously.
The Highlander is one of the most extensively DNA tested pedigreed cat breeds. To date, there are no known breed specific genetic markers linked to cardiac disease or other inherited conditions within the breed.
Additionally, the Highlander is recognized for having exceptionally high genetic diversity, comparable to or even exceeding that of many non pedigreed domestic cats. Current data places the breed’s average genetic diversity at approximately 37 to 41 percent, which is remarkably high for a pedigreed feline.
This strong genetic foundation supports overall health, longevity, and responsible development of the breed.
